Inspiring Poster Design

So as I’m working on my movie poster, I’m searching for inspiration not only from other movie posters, but graphic design in general. I’ve found a lot of amazing work, and here is some of my favorites:

The Fountain 2

These are by: Tomaz Opansinski. Click to view his complete portfolio. His made some of the most compelling posters I’ve ever seen and you MUST go to the evolution section where you can see the before and after of his beautiful creations.

This is a great collection of a variety of inspiring poster designs, but especially the ones by Tomaz Opansinksi. His graphics are so intricate yet the posters themselves are simple – the eye is drawn to the single intriguing image. The first movie poster by Opansinski really draws the eye down to the movie title, a very clever way of making sure that viewers can’t miss the text. It’s the same trick that most poster designers create with white space, only using the image instead.
