Google logo today combines dance and animation beautifully

The google logo today is a little animation by Ryan Woodward. His animation combines dance and simple lines to create movement and emotion that is just beautiful. A friend sent me a link to another animation that he had done and I was captivated. His new work is called “Conte Animated” and it combines gesture drawing of the human figure, 2d animation and contemporary dance. Being a dancer and an artist, this work really speaks to me and I love everything about it.

Awesome Animated Video for the Yellow Bird Project

I know I already posted about the Yellow Bird Project a while back, but I had to share this new video I just saw on their site. This non-profit company works with an amazing range of indie rock musicians to create unique t-shirt designs that benefit an array of charities, each chosen by the musicians. Music + T-Shirts + Art + Charity. What a cool idea.

They have just released this new animated video with their original theme song written by “The Tallest Man on Earth” and animated by Jonathan Lindley. I love this sweet animation made with paper. Watch below, or check it out here.

The guys in OKGo are super creative and you never know what you’ll see next in their music videos. I applaud the team that built these contraptions for the “This too Shall Pass” music video. They are resourceful, witty and perfectionists when it comes to timing and measurement.

Levi’s new commercials are beautiful little videos promoting their brand and new creative contest. I found myself engaged as I came across this commercial in between some political rant and a makeup advertisement. Very creative Levi’s.

San Diego Film Festival – MENDED Premier

The San Diego Film Festival kicked off last night with a great feature called Like Dandelion Dust and there was not a dry eye in the theater. This film explored themes such as religion, alcoholism, domestic violence, adoption laws and most importantly the love that parents have for their children. The headlining actors included some names you might recognize, but frankly I didn’t see the actors, I saw the characters. Well acted, well edited with a message that was clear, concise and touched everyone in the theater. Good Show.

I am now pleased to invite you to the premier of MENDED. This short film was written and directed by Diliana Deltcheva and is a literal translation of a common struggle known as heartbreak. It’s about love and loss and gaining your own meaning from the imagery. This is our first film festival and we would love to see you there!

MENDED is a part of the “Local Love Shorts 1:” a series of short films about love

I worked with Diliana from conception to creation to promotion and I did all of the branding for this film. (website, flyers, etc.) I am so excited to see it on the big screen for the first time. I am so proud.
